Texans' Janice McNair gives $100K to Draft-A-Thon for COVID-19 recovery in employees' name
Texans owner and co-founder Janice McNair has made a $100,000 donation to the NFL Draft-A-Thon benefiting the Greater Houston COVID-19 recovery fund in employees' name.
McNair informed Texans staff of the donation on Thursday, according to a letter addressed to them shared on social media by team spokeswoman Amy Palcic:
"Good afternoon Texans family - On behalf of the McNair Family, I wanted to thank you for all you have done the past six weeks including preparing for the 2020 NFL Draft. I was amazed listening to your draft preparations on Monday's Zoom call and wanted to tell you all how grateful I am to have such passionate, hardworking and enthusiastic teammates.
"As we kick off the draft today, I am making a $100,000 donation to the Draft-A-Thon benefiting the Greater Houston COVID-19 Recovery Fund in your name.
Thank you for all of your hard work and God bless each of you.
Janice McNair."
