Beginning May 1, Daniel Uhlfelder, a lawyer in Santa Rosa Beach, says he's going to travel to different beaches dressed up as the Grim Reaper to make sure beachgoers keep social distancing as states reopen following the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Many of you have asked if I am willing to travel around Florida wearing Grim Reaper attire to the beaches and other areas of the state opening up prematurely," Uhlfelder tweeted. "The answer is absolutely yes. Beginning May 1 we will hit the road here in state. Please retweet and spread the word."

The Santa Rosa Beach lawyer sued Gov. Ron DeSantis last month because, at the time, he hadn't ordered all Florida beaches to close during the coronavirus pandemic.

"The Governor has the responsibility to initiate immediate action to cope with the emerging health problems and try to prevent the spread of infectious diseases," according to the report.
